102.9 WMGK House Band Competition Semi-finals at Havana

MGK is looking for a new House Band to play station events, including Let Freedom Rock Fest 2015.  If you’re in a band that covers classic rock songs, they want to hear from you.

HOW TO ENTER

Submit an mp3 of your band performing 1 classic rock song to houseband@wmgk.com The MGK staff will choose their favorite 16 bands to compete to win the title of MGK House Band. Entry deadline is July 15 at 5pm.

The following info must be included in all submissions:

• Band name
• Full name & age of each band member (all members must be 18 or older)
• Phone, email and address of one contact person in the band

THE WINNER OF THE COMPETITION WILL:

• Become MGK’s official band for the next 12 months
• Play MGK events, including the Let Freedom Rock Fest
• Receive $1000 in new band equipment
• 2 days of free recording time at Philly Sound Studios 

HOW IT WORKS

Starting July 24, each week for four straight weeks, 4 of our 16 finalists will compete at one of our semifinal round events.
The winner of each semifinal event will advance to the MGK House Band Finals on Thursday August 21 at Parx Casino’s 360 Bar.
