Lambertville Awarded $250K for Clinton Street Reconstruction

The City of Lambertville announced on Thursday that it has been awarded a $250,000 state grant for the Clinton Street “Phase II” project.

The road reconstruction and upgrade effort includes pavement and sidewalk restoration on Clinton Street from Delaware Avenue to Buttonwood Street.

Surveying and engineering design work will begin soon, with a rough target date of summer 2018 for construction to be launched, according to city officials. Clinton Street from York Street to Delaware Avenue will be upgraded first, they say.

“This award greatly helps us continue the ongoing work of upgrading our roads and sidewalks, keeping our city a safe place to walk, bike or drive, as well as enhancing its physical appearance,” Lambertville Mayor Dave Del Vecchio said.

Lambertville applied for the merit-based award from New Jersey Department of Transportation’s (NJDOT) competitive Municipal Aid Grant Program.
