An evening of ‘ghost busting’ at the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury

new hope free press ghostIs your home filled with things that go bump in the night, or shadows on the stairs? You may be living with a ghost, say our friends at the Free Library.

If so, help is on the way: Paranormal specialist and local author Joanne Emmons reveals what it’s like to share your house with a spirit or two at an evening of Haunted Houses at the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.

Emmons, an engineer by day and a “ghost hunter” by night, is the author of I Think My House is Haunted, and currently resides in Howell, New Jersey. Emmons grew up in New Hope, and spent her childhood in a haunted house where she became fascinated rather than frightened by its paranormal activity. Her experiences led her on a life-long quest to learn as much as she could about ghosts and hauntings, and to use her knowledge to help others dealing with unexplained phenomena.

The program is free and suitable for families with older children. Register (recommended) by calling (215) 862-2330 or visiting the library’s website.
