Get ready for a weekend of art, music, and Delaware River regional spirit! The popular ShadFest is back in the City of Lambertville.
For 42 years, ShadFest has marked the arrival of spring in Lambertville.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, the streets will come alive with live music, games, local artists, and fresh eats. Local restaurants and bars are expected to have specials.
Rain or shine, the free festival offers something for everyone, according to organizers.
A cornerstone of ShadFest is the annual Art Auction, held at the First Presbyterian Church on Union Street. This year’s auction boasts over 200 original pieces crafted by talented area artists. Attendees can participate in a silent auction throughout the weekend, with a live auction on Sunday at 3 p.m. The auction supports the Jim Hamilton Memorial Shad Festival Scholarship Fund.
A reminder from city officials: be mindful of temporary no-parking signs, especially around Kline’s Court, Ferry Street, and South Union Streets. Cars parked in these zones may be towed to ensure smooth festival operations.
Road closures for vehicles will be in effect from 7 a.m. on Saturday through 8 p.m. on Sunday.
With its roots stretching back to 1981, the Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce’s ShadFest not only celebrates the local arts scene but also honors the natural wonder of the shad migration.
