Police Log: Theft Of Laptop, DUI Arrest & More

The latest incidents in the City of Lambertville.

February 21

Theft

At 10:13 a.m., patrol responded to a residence on Brunswick Avenue for report of a theft of a laptop computer. Corporal Wurpel is investigating. 

February 23

Theft

At approximately 2:43 p.m., patrol responded to a residence on Brunswick Avenue for a dispute. It was determined a wallet was reported stolen. Corporal Wurpel investigated. 

February 24

Disorderly Conduct

At approximately 2:35 a.m., Sergeant Gramlich observed an unknown issue involving several individuals near the free bridge guard shack. It was determined all parties were friends and a there was a dispute between two of them. The incident was quickly resolved and all parties left.

Suspicious Person

At approximately 3 p.m., a business owner from Lambert Lane reported a suspicious person that was inside of their business. Further investigation revealed the individual did not violate any laws. Detective Corporal Bast investigated.

Criminal Mischief

At approximately 1:35 p.m., patrol responded to a business on North Union Street for a report of graffiti on the outside of the building. Detective Albani investigated. 

February 26

Theft

A 37-year-old Easton, Pennsylvania, man was charged with theft by deception stemming from an incident that was reported on January 9. The man was issued a court date of March 5. Patrolman Zilliox is the investigating officer.  

March 8

DUI

A 21-year-old New Hope Borough man arrested and charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, and being an unlicensed driver at 8:05 p.m. He was released with a court date of March 9. Patrolman Brown is the arresting officer. 

March 10

Dispute

At approximately 9:42 a.m., patrol responded to a residence on Elm Street for a landlord and tenant dispute. Detective Albani investigated.

Criminal Mischief

At approximately 8:04 a.m., patrol responded to a residence on Ferry Street for a report of vehicle damage. Detective Corporal Bast investigated.

March 18

Fire Call

At approximately 5:24 p.m., patrol responded to the area behind the American Legion for a report of smoke in the area. It was determined a small fire pit was created and emanating smoke from a previously lit fire. The City of Lambertville Fire Department extinguished the fire pit area. Detective Corporal Bast investigated.

Suspicious Vehicle

At approximately 9:21 p.m., patrol responded to a residence on Holcombe Way for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked. Patrolman Lugo investigated.

Disorderly Conduct

At approximately 5:39 p.m., patrol responded to the area of the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge for a report of a disorderly person. Upon arrival, the situation was quickly deescalated. Lieutenant Brown investigated.
