NEARBY: Home Burglarized With Residents Inside, Masked Suspects Flee

Buckingham Township police are investigating a burglary that happened Tuesday night in which three suspects fled after being disturbed by homeowners.

Officers responded to the 5700 block of Ridgeview Drive, which sits just yards from the Solebury Township border, at approximately 9 p.m. for a report of a burglary in progress, police said.

Upon arrival, officers found evidence of forced entry through a rear basement door and discovered the home’s phone line had been disconnected. Police said it appeared the suspects attempted to disable the home’s security system.

The homeowners, who were upstairs at the time, reported hearing loud noises from the basement, police said.

The homeowner called 9-1-1 and announced from the second floor that they were calling police.

The suspects then fled through a rear kitchen door, police said.

Surveillance video from the home shows three males dressed in all black, wearing hoods, and masks. The three were seen fleeing down the driveway toward Ridgeview Drive.
