
Bucks County residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste at a series of collection events scheduled throughout the spring, summer and fall, officials announced.
The events will allow residents to bring up to 25 gallons or 220 pounds of potentially dangerous household items, such as pesticides, batteries and household cleaners.
The collections are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, on the following dates:
- April 5 at Bucks County Community College’s Newtown Township Campus.
- May 31 at Upper Bucks Area Vocational Technical School.
- June 28 at Central Bucks South High School in Warrington Township.
- Aug. 9 at Bucks County Technical School in Bristol Township.
- Oct. 25 at Strayer Middle School in Quakertown.
Electronics, latex paint, and appliances will not be accepted.
The events are for county residents only and are not open to businesses, industries or institutions.
The free events are sponsored by the Bucks County Commissioners and the Bucks County Planning Commission.
