A flower store and gardening center has announced it will be closing its doors in the City of Lambertville this February.
Byeway Gardens owner Christopher Stout announced the decision in a message to customers on Thursday.
The business, which opened in spring 2021 in the former Chamber of Commerce storefront at the corner of Bridge Street and North Main Street, has become a staple for gardening enthusiasts in the area.
Stout, a fourth-generation gardener, continued the legacy of his great-grandparents who first established Bye-Way Gardens in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1944. The store later moved to Bethlehem in 1959 and operated there until the 1980s.
Stout shared his appreciation for the community’s support.
Despite the upcoming closure, Stout emphasized that this is not the end for Byeway Gardens but “the beginning of an exciting new chapter.”
Plans are already underway to reinvent the business to make it “bigger, better, and more inspiring than ever before,” he shared.
The new vision includes expanded offerings and new experiences designed to foster creativity, connection, and a stronger sense of community.
Byeway Gardens is offering discounts during its final weeks in the city.
“Thank you for allowing us to be part of your celebrations, your homes, and your lives,” Stout wrote. “We will forever treasure these memories and look forward to creating even more together in the future.”
