The Lambertville Historical Society invites the public to delve into the city’s rich railroad past at its annual meeting.

The annual meeting and presentation on the railroad will take place on Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Pittore Justice Center at 25 South Union Street.

The meeting is set to begin at 1 p.m. and will open with a brief business session followed by a presentation on Lambertville’s transformation into an industrial hub through railroads.

Shane Scanlon Blische, a historical society member and train enthusiast, will lead the discussion.

Blische is actively involved with the Black River and Western Railroad and assists with their excursion trains. He also contributes to the maintenance of their museum in Ringoes.

The event is free and open to the community.
