The 2024 Snow Folk Art contest, which was hosted by the Solebury Township Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Niece Lumber of Lambertville, has ended with community members voting to select this year’s winners.
Annelise Dahlin took first place with her whimsical depiction of “Snoopy” perched atop his iconic dog house.
Second place was awarded to Renee Scally, who crafted a “Gnome” complete with a flowing white beard.
Gretchen Rice secured the third spot with her vibrant “Mardi Gras” themed sculpture.
In addition to the overall winners, the contest also celebrated category champions segmented by age groups. The winners included Tommie Kawoczka; sisters Lyra and Baelyn Blucas; cousins Elliana and Mila Matthews; and the young members of Cub Scout Pack 3464.
The creations will be displayed in the front lobby of the Solebury Township Municipal Building, which will allow visitors and residents a chance to enjoy the masterpieces.
Entrants and onlookers are reminded that the building is closed on Fridays and holidays.
Township officials said: “After January 8, 2025 all remaining entries will simply melt away…”
