The students devoted their day to assist at five local community organizations across Bucks County.
The day of service was organized by Bucks County Community College’s Office of Student Life and supported by various student clubs and organizations, showcased the students’ spirit of social responsibility and community engagement, according to community college officials.
At A Women’s Place in Doylestown Township, volunteers organized essential items for women and children who are survivors of domestic abuse.
In Northeast Philadelphia, students at Caring for Friends sorted donations and packed meals to address food insecurity in the area.
Students were involved in decorating and visiting with the elderly at Christ’s Home in Warminster Township.

Community college officials said many of the students who volunteered are highly involved on campus and are busy with school work and jobs.
“This experience was truly unforgettable. I had never volunteered at a care home before, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but from the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and kindness from everyone there,” said student volunteer Whitney Morine, who spent her day at Christ’s Home. “The people who live and work in the care home have such a genuine, caring spirit, and it made me want to stay and be a part of the community.”
Chris Seifert, the director of Student Engagement and Leadership Development, expressed pride in the students’ efforts.
“Seeing our students take time to give back to the community is truly inspiring,” said Seifert. “This day of service is just one example of how our students embody the spirit of compassion and responsibility, and we’re proud to see them making a positive impact in Bucks County.”
The community college plans to organize more volunteering events and provide opportunities for students to give their time year-round.
