State Rep. Tim Brennan has successfully defended his seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives
The Democrat has overcome challenges from Republican Steve Mekanik and Libertarian Rob Ronky in the 29th Legislative District.
According to unofficial election results, Brennan earned 55.5 percent of the vote, Mekanik nabbed 42.2 percent, and Ronky gained 2.1 percent.
The district will continue to be represented by Brennan, who first took office in 2022.
Brennan is a former Doylestown Borough council person. He is a practicing attorney with a history of political involvement dating back to his youth. At the age of 10, he worked his first election after being inspired by a political advertisement that exploited racial division, according to his biography.
In the legislature, Brennan serves on several key committees, including appropriations, ethics, insurance, labor and industry, among others.
The 29th Legislative District consists of Buckingham Township, Chalfont Borough, Doylestown Borough, Doylestown Township, New Britain Borough, New Hope Borough, and Solebury Township.
