Brush Fire Draws Large Response In Solebury

UPDATE: Large Solebury Brush Fire Put Out

A large brush fire broke out near Winfield Lane and Aquetong Road in Solebury Township Friday afternoon and it burned into the evening.

The fire led to a large emergency response from neighboring towns and counties as firefighters battled the blaze that was mainly centered along the railroad train tracks.

The fire was reported before 3 p.m. and was fueled by extremely dry conditions and aided by a strong breeze.

Fire crews from Bucks, Hunterdon, and Mercer counties responded to the scene.

Utility vehicles, special brush trucks, and large tanker trucks were deployed to supply water and resources to firefighters.

Authorities also used large pieces of construction equipment to assist in controlling the fire.

Several roads surrounding the incident were closed to traffic due to the fire.
