A fire at Great Barn Brewery Taproom in New Hope Borough brought crews from around the area to the scene.

An active fire alarm was reported Wednesday around 6:30 a.m. at the building on West Mechanic Street. The call was quickly upgraded to a building fire.

The New Hope Eagle Fire Company said firefighters forced entry to the closed brewery and found the blaze.

Firefighters quickly put out the flames and evacuated residents in second- and third-floor apartments, the fire company said.

No injuries were reported.

Crews worked to clear smoke from the building.

Bucks County Fire Marshal John Gundy said the fire was still under investigation.

Great Barn Brewery posted on Facebook that the fire only damaged a small area, but the popular spot will be closed until repairs are made.

In addition to the New Hope Eagle Fire Company, the City of Lambertville, Lingohocken, Midway, Point Pleasant, Stockton, Upper Makefield, and West Amwell fire companies responded. Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services and Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad sent ambulances.
