UPDATE: Sugan Road Fire Extinguished

A large fire was reported in Solebury.

UPDATED: 11:15 a.m., Wednesday:

Dispatch records indicate the fire was placed under control by 9 a.m.

Solebury Township police said no injuries were reported.

The residents of the home the fire ripped through were being assisted by neighbors of Brownstone Drive and the American Red Cross.

Original Story:

Firefighters from the New Hope Eagle and Midway fire companies and several assisting agencies were battling a blaze at a building in Solebury Township Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported in the 3000 block of Sugan Road around 6 a.m.

According to dispatch reports, the flames were heavy and was spreading through the structure.

Several additional tanker trucks were called to the scene as of 7 a.m.

Sugan Road was closed between Creamery Road and Upper York Road (Route 263,) police said.
