Businesswoman Karen Thompson, owner of LSL Brands in Peddler’s Village, has expanded her portfolio by purchasing the historic Black Bass Hotel, Golden Pheasant Inn, and Lumberville General Store.

Thompson bought the businesses from the unrelated Thompson family, known for their regional car dealerships, for an undisclosed price, according to the Bucks County Herald.

The acquisition includes the Black Bass Hotel in Solebury Township, the Golden Pheasant Inn in nearby Tinicum Township, and the Lumberville General Store, also in Solebury Township.

Built in 1745, the Black Bass Hotel is known for its scenic views along the Delaware River and was recently highlighted by Eater as one of the top dining spots in Bucks County.

The Golden Pheasant Inn, which opened its doors in 1857, was last purchased in 2019 for $1.25 million, according to the Doylestown Intelligencer.

The Lumberville General Store is housed in a building dating back to around 1740 and is a community fixture that underwent significant renovations before reopening in 2016.

Thompson has announced plans to maintain the current staffing and preserve the beloved atmosphere that guests have come to expect at each location, the newspaper reported.
