Former President Donald Trump won’t be visiting The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in New Britain Township, sources confirmed on Thursday.
The visit, which was scheduled for this Sunday, was scrapped on Thursday, according to a person close to the Trump campaign, law enforcement sources, and a Republican involved in statewide politics.
The event, which was not intended as a rally, was not publicly announced by the Trump campaign.

The cancellation comes after an incident last Sunday where law enforcement arrested a man in Florida. The FBI alleges the individual was attempting to target Trump with a rifle. The suspect did not fire any shots, and the former president was unharmed.
Despite Trump’s absence, security measures will remain stringent for Polish President Andrzej Duda’s visit to the same shrine on Sunday.
Duda is visiting as part of a broader trip that includes attendance at the United Nation’s General Assembly in New York City next week.
The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, a key site for Polish Catholic heritage in Central Bucks County, has hosted several notable visitors over the years, including Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (later known as Pope John Paul II) and presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Ronald Reagan.
Trump’s last appearance in Bucks County was in April at a fundraiser in Newtown Township.
U.S. Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, is expected to visit the Newtown area later this month.
With the election season heating up, both Republican and Democratic figures are likely to make stops in Bucks County as November approaches.
