The man former President Donald Trump wants to be vice president is expected to hold a campaign event in Newtown.

The Bucks County Republican Committee teased on social media that there will be a “huge rally” in Newtown on Saturday, September 28.

A spokesperson for the Republican committee didn’t have further information to share, and the Trump campaign didn’t comment.

A Republican source said they expect Vance to visit Lower Bucks County as part of a campaign swing of the state. However, they had little further they could share.

As of Wednesday, there was no information on how supporters could attend the rally, which remains weeks away.

Vance, a U.S. senator from Ohio, is Trump’s running mate and has campaigned a lot in Pennsylvania, a key swing state.

Vance, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who once strongly opposed Trump and compared him to Hitler, was picked by the Republican presidential candidate in July.

Axios reported in July that Vance would spend a lot of time in the Keystone state as the Trump campaign tries to win the state, which was won by Trump in 2016 and then-candidate Joe Biden in 2020.

Vance has drawn some controversy due to comments he made over people without children having less say in the future of the country and his past criticism of Trump.

Vance and Gov. Tim Walz, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ running mate, will debate next month on CBS.
