A two-vehicle collision at a busy City of Lambertville intersection resulted in no serious injuries.

The wreck happened around 5:13 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 179 and Route 165.

According to city police, officers arrived quickly and made sure everyone was safely out of the vehicles and out of the roadway.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a red Volvo wagon, driven by a 68-year-old man from Titusville, was traveling south on Route 179 when it entered the intersection to continue along Route 165. A blue Toyota sedan, driven by a 29-year-old Trenton man, was making a left turn onto Bridge Street (Route 179) heading north on Route 165. The Toyota turned into the Volvo’s path, hitting the driver’s side door of the wagon, police said.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage from the impact and were towed from the scene.

The two drivers involved declined medical transport to the hospital, police said.

Patrolman Lugo was tasked with the investigation.

As of Thursday, no summonses have been issued in connection with the crash.

Police were assisted at the scene by the City of Lambertville Fire Department and Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad.
