Visitors have until Saturday to take in the artfully-crafted large sand sculptures at Peddler’s Village.

“Summer in Sand” is free art exhibition featuring large, intricate sand sculptures at the destination that sits in Buckingham and Solebury townships.

The event, which ends this Saturday, highlights summer’s quintessential activities through five sculptures: watching baseball, camping, embarking on an overseas adventure, playing games and solving puzzles, and lounging at the beach.

“Since 2022, our sand sculpture displays have brought many visitors looking for free summer fun,” said Bob McGowan, CEO of Peddler’s Village. “We had so many requests to repeat the sand event that this year we decided to create a surprise display. We hope our visitors will enjoy it as much as we do!”

Created by the acclaimed sand sculpting teams of John Gowdy and Team Sandtastic, the sculptures are not only something to see but also a testament to the art of sand sculpting.

Team members include Dean Arscott, Brian Turnbough, and Steve Schomaker for Team Sandtastic, and John and Laura Gowdy for Sand Sculptures by John Gowdy.

The teams have previously participated in Peddler’s Village’s annual sand events, including “Stories in Sand” and “Bucks County Beach Days,” which attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.

This year’s sculptures are presented in collaboration with local shops such as Bucks County House of Jerky, Extra Virgin, Fox & Holly, The Lucky Cupcake Company, and Pieces.

In addition to the sculptures, visitors can enjoy interactive sandboxes and a family-friendly scavenger hunt.

The display is open to the public at no cost.
