Police Log: Hazmat Call, Several Arrests & More

June 19

Disorderly Conduct

At approximately 9:41 a.m., patrol responded to a business on Bridge Street for a female refusing to leave. Upon arrival, the situation was quickly de-escalated and the woman left without incident. Sergeant Gramlich was the investigating officer. 

Brush Fire

At approximately 3:38 p.m., patrol responded to a residence on Lincoln Avenue for a brush fire resulting from a down power line. Both Lambertville fire and patrol arrived and secured the scene until JCP&L arrived and rectified the situation. No injuries were reported and only minor property damage resulted. Patrolman Zilliox investigated. 

Small Fire

At approximately 5:23 p.m., patrol responded to a business on North Union Street for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, it was quickly determined the power connected to the building sparked causing a small fire, which extinguished on its own. Lambertville fire deemed the structure safe and there were no injuries and minimal property damage. The power to the business was restored later this date. Sergeant Gramlich investigated. 

Dispute

At approximately 5:58 p.m., patrol responded to Lincoln Avenue for a neighbor dispute. Upon arrival, the situation was quickly resolved. Patrolman Zilliox investigated. 

June 21

Trespassing

At approximately 9:21 .a.m, a 25-year-old Lambertville man was charged with defiant trespassing after being found on business property on Bridge Street after prior notice was given that he was no longer permitted on the property. The man was provided with a court date of July 18.  Patrolman Lugo is the investigating officer.  

Scam

At approximately 4:14 p.m., a resident on Clinton Street reported being a victim of an online scam involving an apartment for rent. Patrolman Lugo is investigating. 

June 24

Unwanted Person

At approximately 12:56 p.m., patrols were detailed to a business parking lot on North Union Street for an unwanted person soliciting money. Upon arrival, contact was made with the individual who left the property without incident after being told he was not welcome back. Sergeant Gramlich investigated. 

June 26

Hazmat Call

On Wednesday June 26, 2024, at approximately 4:24pm, patrols responded to station court for a suspicious strong odor. It was determined the odor was coming from a tank within the property of the sewage authority. Multiple agencies responded including, but not limited to, Hunterdon County Office of Emergency Management, Hunterdon County Health Department, Lambertville Fire Department, and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The situation was safely resolved without incident. DCpl Bast was the investigating officer. 

July 2

Unwanted Person

At approximately 4 p.m., a business on North Main Street reported an unwanted person coming onto the property and bothering employees. Contact was made with the subject and they were advised they were no longer welcome back on the property. Patrolman Zilliox investigated. 

July 4

Arrest

At approximately midnight, a 53-year-old Trenton man was arrested on several outstanding warrants resulting from a motor vehicle stop. The man was lodged at the Mercer County Correction Center in default. Patrolman Zilliox is the arresting officer. 

July 6

Theft

At approximately 11:25 a.m., a resident reported their E-bicycle taken from the tow path near the wing dam the prior evening. Patrol checked the area and located the bicycle in bushes off of Bridge Street. Patrolman Zilliox is the investigating officer. 

Trespassing

At approximately 3:45 p.m., a 46-year-old Lambertville man was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing. Roldan was released with a court date of July 18. Detective Albani is the arresting officer.  

DUI

At approximately 11:52 p.m., a 32-year-old Stockton man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, careless driving, refusal to submit to breath testing and improper use of multiple beam headlamps. The man was released with a court date of July 18. DCpl Bast is the arresting officer. 

July 7

DUI

At approximately 9:54 p.m., a 43-year-old Lambertville woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. She was released with a court date of August 15. Sergeat Memolo is the arresting officer.
