Police Log: Unwanted Persons Caught Sleeping, Public Urination & More

May 23

Unwanted Person

At approximately 9:05 a.m., a business on Bridge Street reported an unwanted person sleeping on the front porch. Sergeant Memolo was the investigating officer. 

May 25

Unwanted Person

At approximately 11:22 p.m., patrol responded to Bridge Street for a person that has been sleeping inside a residential/commercial vestibule. The individual had left prior to patrols arrival. Patrolman Zilliox is the investigating officer.

Disorderly Conduct

At 6:31 p.m., patrols responded to the wing dam for several people being disorderly and consuming alcoholic beverages. Several individuals were issued local ordinance violations for consumption of alcoholic beverages in a public place and released on scene. Patrolman Brown investigated.

Theft

At approximately 1:55 p.m., patrol responded to Ely Field for a report of a stolen bicycle. Shortly after arrival, patrol quickly located the bike after canvassing the surrounding area. Detective Albani and Patrolman Brown investigated.

Unwanted Person

At approximately 9:08 a.m., a business on Bridge Street reported an unwanted person sleeping on the front porch. Sergeant Memolo was the investigating officer. 

Theft

At approximately 11:36 a.m., patrol responded to a residence on North Union Street for a report of Christmas lights taken from the front porch. Sergeant Memolo is the investigating officer.  

May 29

Public Urination

At approximately 12:10 p.m., a business North Main Street for a report of an intoxicated person drinking an alcoholic beverage inside the business and falling asleep. The subject, a 41-year-old City of Lambertville man, was located on a street nearby where he was advised not to return to the business, also charged with urinating in public and released on scene. Patrolman Bereheiko was the investigating officer. 

June 2

Trespassing

At approximately 10:55 p.m., a 25-year-old City of Lambertville was found to be sleeping on the porch of a business located on Bridge Street. The man was later charged with defiant trespass after being advised several times in the past by the business staff and police not to sleep on the property. Sergeant Gramlich is the investigating officer. 

June 9

Attempted Fraud

At approximately 11:06 a.m., a resident on Titus Road reported a suspicious phone call where the caller identified themselves an a Hunterdon County sheriff’s officer who requested the resident to pay a fine as a result of missing jury duty.  Corporal Wurpel responded and quickly established the incident was a telephone scam.  

June 13

DUI

At approximately 2:17 a.m., a 59-year-old City of Lambertville man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence , failure to maintain lane and careless driving. The man was released with a court date of July 18. Patrolman Zilliox is the arresting officer. 

Harassment

At approximately 8:44 p.m., patrol responded to Heritage Village for a harassment complaint. DCpl Bast responded and quickly de-escalated the situation without incident.  

June 14

Trespassing

At approximately 2:06 a.m., patrols responded to Church Street for a report of a trespasser on private property. It was determined a 46-year-old City of Lambertville man was found sleeping on residential property where prior notice was given that he was not permitted to be on the property. Subsequently, the man was later charged with defiant trespassing and provided a court date.  Patrolman Zilliox is the investigating officer. 

Unwanted Person

At approximately 1:16 p.m., patrol responded to a residence on Church Street for an unwanted person. After investigating, the subject was asked to leave and did so without incident. Sgt Gramlich investigated.  

June 16

Unwanted Person

At approximately 10:07 p.m., patrol responded to a residence on Church Street for an unwanted person. A 46-year-old City of Lambertville man was charged with defiant trespassing. The man was provided a court date. Patrolman Lugo is the investigating officer.
