The former New Hope Star Diner is on the market for $2.75 million.

The diner was a staple in Solebury Township until it closed in late November.

Berkshire Hathaway real estate agent Steve Darlington is handling the sale of the 5,780-square-foot diner.

“Having sustained an owner-operator for an entire career, and later decades of successful tenants, this one-of-a-kind location is ready for its next steward. Bring your talents to the only eating establishment of its kind for miles,” the listing says to potential buyers.

The New Hope Star Diner on Lower York Road (Route 202) has a capacity for 188 customers and sees an average of 18,000 vehicles pass by daily, according to the listing.

The closure of the diner was announced last autumn with a sign that expressed thanks to its patrons but did not disclose reasons or future plans for the establishment.

“We thank all our loyal customers for their patronage over the last eight years,” the sign said.

In its heyday, the diner operated 24/7. However, like many restaurants of its kind, it reduced its hours over the past few years.

Before becoming the New Hope Star Diner, the establishment was known as the New Hope Eagle Diner.
