A 27-year-old woman was arrested and charged with DUI after her vehicle became stuck on railroad tracks in New Hope Borough earlier this month.
According to New Hope Borough police, officers were called to the scene at the intersection of West Ferry Street and Stockton Avenue around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 4.
At the scene, officers discovered a vehicle stuck approximately 15 feet south of the railroad tracks.
The driver told police she believed she was turning into a parking lot when her car ended up on the tracks, police said.
Upon investigation, officers concluded that the woman was operating her vehicle while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs to a degree that she was incapable of safe driving. She was subsequently arrested, police said.
