As winter’s chill begins to wane, locals can look forward to the return of the annual Washington Crossing Brewfest in spring.
The brewfest is scheduled for Saturday, May 4 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the upper part of Washington Crossing Historic Park in New Hope.
Early bird tickets are available until 11:59 p.m. on February 14 for a discounted price of $45. Following this, general admission tickets will be priced at $55 until they are sold out.
A limited number of Designated Driver tickets are available for $17.76, ensuring everyone can enjoy the day safely.
Now in its 13th year, the brewfest is known for its combination of historical ambiance and expansive beer selection.
Jennifer Martin, the executive director of the Friends of Washington Crossing Park, highlighted the brewfest’s popularity, noting its nomination as one of the top 20 Favorite Beer Festivals in the country by USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards.
“Time and time again, our attendees say our unique location in a natural and picturesque environment is their favorite part of the day,” she said.
Martin added that this year’s brewfest would be “bigger and better than ever,” with an expanded selection of IPAs, hard ciders, kombuchas, seltzers, spiked teas, and other brewed malt beverages.
The Washington Crossing Brewfest serves as the largest fundraiser for the park, supporting events like the annual Washington Crossing Reenactment, Memorial Day Celebration, and Independence Day Celebration.
Ticket holders will receive a souvenir sampling cup and enjoy two-ounce pours from a wide array of craft and commercial breweries.
The event will also feature live music from First Highland Watch, a rock and roll bagpipe band, and the park’s own Fife and Drum Corps.
In addition to sampling a wide range of beverages, attendees can savor food from local vendors set in a scenic wooded area overlooking the Delaware River.
The brewfest is run by volunteers and proceeds support the Friends of Washington Crossing Park in their mission to educate the public, promote history, and preserve the park that spans Upper Makefield and Solebury townships.

For those wishing to avoid online fees, tickets can also be purchased at the park’s Visitor Center daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
