The Lambertville Bakehouse has closed its doors in the city.
The announcement was made through the business’s Instagram account last week.
The bakery on North Main Street between York Street and Coryell Street had become a favorite among residents since its opening in June 2022.
“It is with heavy hearts we announce we will be closing our doors permanently. We thank the community for your support,” read the post from the bakery.
While the reason for the closure was unspecified, the message hinted at a new venture set to take over the location.
Tiera Burrows, the owner and chef of Lambertville Bakehouse, was the behind the bakery’s fresh and unique offerings.
The news of the closure has sparked a wave of reactions on social media where customers expressed their sadness and disbelief.
“We’re so sorry to hear this, what you did what beautiful and delicious,” one person wrote.
Another customer wrote: “How can this be? I don’t understand….. you created the best breads and pastries Lambertville has seen in as long as I can remember! I was so looking forward to frequenting your beautiful shop this winter. I’m so sorry. You will surely be missed. All the very best to all of you!”
