Sneddon’s Luncheonette, the longtime staple of the City of Lambertville, closed in June and the building was sold that same month.

The three-story building located in the central business district not only housed the restaurant, but it also featured four apartments above.

The building sold in June for $1.7 million, according to records, and work has been underway in the months since.

The future of the building has not been made public, but a recent open door revealed that the inside has been gutted.

The first floor and basement or crawlspace of the building has been cleared out and work appeared to be happening to renovate the structure as a NewHopeFreePress.com reporter walked by recently. No work crews were spotted at the time.

When the door is not open, paper has covered the front window and obscured the construction taking place inside.
