Pair Sought In Attempted Dine-&-Dash Incident Involving Counterfeit Bill, Police Say

Police are seeking tips from the public.

The New Hope Borough Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in an alleged dine-and-dash incident at a local eatery.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Sunday, October 15 at approximately 1:56 p.m. at an establishment located on the 100 block of South Main Street.

Witnesses reported that the pair dined at the restaurant and then attempted to leave without paying for their meal. The male suspect, upon being confronted by the staff, left a counterfeit $100 bill in the billfold before fleeing the scene, police said.

The suspects were last seen heading northbound on South Main Street.

The male suspect was described as a white male, aged 40 to 50, of medium build. He has a notable physical characteristic: a disabled right arm/hand, which is positioned at a 90-degree angle. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap, black shirt, black jacket, and jeans.

The female suspect was described as a white female, also in the 40 to 50 age range, with long brown hair. She was wearing a long tan shirt with a floral pattern, black pants, black boots, and a jean jacket.

The New Hope Borough Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of these individuals to contact them at 215-862-3033. Information can also be submitted anonymously. The case reference number is 20231015M0005.
