UPDATE: First Friday, Fireworks Postponed To Next Friday

First Fridays are making a triumphant return to New Hope Borough this week, promising an evening of fun, music, and fireworks.

The events, which are put on by the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and New Hope Celebrates, kick off at 5 p.m. on Friday in Lenape Park.

Visitors can indulge in a cool beverage at the park’s beer garden, or peruse the diverse range of creative works displayed by local artists and vendors along Stockton Avenue.

The festivities are also set to feature live music from local talent Matt Borish, whose melodies will waft through the park, inviting attendees to groove to his beats.

The highlight of the evening will be a fireworks display set to light up the night sky along the Delaware River at 9 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to take full advantage of what the borough has to offer.

Organizers also said visitors can even stay the night at one of the bed and breakfast establishments in the area.

Parking is available at New Hope-Solebury High School and Union Square to accommodate visitors. Some locations might require a small fee to ensure quality and security.

Authorities have announced that beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, Stockton Avenue, between Bridge and Ferry streets, will be closed to vehicles and open for pedestrian traffic only.
