Gov. Josh Shapiro visited several businesses in New Hope Borough last Friday.
The governor, a Democrat from Montgomery County and husband to a Bucks County native, stopped at the Bucks County Playhouse, Oldestone Steakhouse, and Nomad Distilling Company, according to his office.
A video of the visit from the governor’s office also shows him greeting diners at the Logan Inn.
Shapiro was joined by Bucks County Commissioner Chairperson Bob Harvie, a Democrat, during his visit. In addition, Pennsylvania State Police troopers that were part of the governor’s security detail and governor’s office staff escorted him around the borough.
“Thankful for all of our Pennsylvania small business who line our main streets and support our communities,” Shapiro said in a social media statement.
