Wine enthusiasts can now purchase tickets for the highly-anticipated “Wine on the Waterfront” event that supports Friends of Washington Crossing Park.
The wine tasting experience is set to take place on Saturday, July 29. The event will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. along the banks of the Delaware River at Washington Crossing Historic Park in Upper Makefield Township.
Interested individuals can buy tickets for $45 per person by visiting WashingtonCrossingPark.org/events. It was noted that only a limited number of tickets will be sold, with a total of 850 available, including designated driver tickets.
All proceeds generated from the event will contribute to the support of educational and historical programming at the park, which spans Upper Makefield and Solebury townships.
“Wine on the Waterfront” promises attendees an extensive selection of wine tastings, showcasing a myriad of offerings from renowned wineries in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Participating wineries include Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery, Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery, Crossing Vineyards & Winery, Grace Winery, Mount Nittany Vineyard and Winery, Rebel Hive Meadery, Rose Bank Winery, Sand Castle Winery, Manoff Market Cidery (new addition), and Unionville Vineyards. Additionally, Roots to River Farm will be present, providing craft aperitivo, a wine-based drink infused with herbs and bitters.
During the event, food and wine will be available for purchase, including a selection of delectable options from vendors such as Sol Bowl, Harvest Pizza, and Goodnoes Ice Cream. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnic food, along with blankets and chairs, to relax and enjoy the scenic riverbank.
The event will feature a special musical performance by the talented jazz vocalist and trombonist Hailey Brinnel, accompanied by her quartet. Brinnel, a rising star in the jazz scene, recently released her latest album, “Beautiful Tomorrow.”
Despite her young age of 27, Brinnel has already captivated audiences at esteemed venues across America and Europe. She was a finalist in the 2021 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and was recognized as a finalist in the jazz category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Brinnel’s debut album, “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles.”
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all ticket holders must be 21 years of age or older, with ID verification taking place at the gate. Furthermore, please be aware that no pets, children, or babies will be allowed entry.
