A driver of a BMW that crashed through the City of Lambertville CVS could be facing charges.
The investigation into the Saturday afternoon crash was ongoing as of Tuesday, but police said a sergeant is still investigating. They noted the case is “pending multiple charges.”
The crash happened at 1:11 p.m. when the BMW drove through the front of the CVS on Cherry Street. The car ended up traveling through the front area of the store and came to a stop in an isle where candy was being sold, according to authorities and images from the scene.
“It was determined that the act was not intentional,” police said in their statement.
“Fortunately no one was injured,” police said.
Authorities said the male driver was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township for evaluation.
Mayor Andrew Nowick said in a statement this week that the CVS is expected to reopen in the coming days. He added prescriptions can be filled by any CVS.
