New Hope-Solebury schools closed Friday

All New Hope-Solebury School District schools will be closed Friday, Dr. Charles Lentz, Superintendent of Schools, confirmed Thursday evening.

“It is to provide time for staff to prepare in the event that we are directed to close, as just happened in Montgomery County, and to allow additional time to clean our schools more thoroughly,” he explained.

School staff have been told to report at 9 a.m. to the Steven Buck Auditorium, unless otherwise directed.

Gov. Wolf on Thursday ordered mass closings in Montgomery County to help combat the spread of coronavirus there. The closures include all schools in the county, along with community centers, entertainment venues, gyms, and daycare centers.
