The 20th anniversary “Works in Wood” exhibition returns to New Hope Arts on Oct. 5.

“The show honors the rich cultural heritage of Bucks County woodworking while celebrating the new visions of the contemporary artists who reside in our region and beyond,” say organizers.

“Works in Wood” is a national juried exhibition that brings exhibitors featuring fine furniture, sculptural forms and vessels in a wide range of styles and techniques.

Wood artists from Texas and California join tri-state artists showcasing 70 unique works selected by jurors Bernadette Rubbo of The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, in Morris Plains, New Jersey, and William Sticker, founding member of Bucks Woodturners and the Echo Lake Conference at Bucks County Community College.

The 20th anniversary show is sponsored by The First National Bank and Trust of Newtown with awards sponsors Bucks Woodturners.

An opening reception will be held Oct. 5 at New Hope Arts, 2 Stockton Ave., in New Hope. Gallery hours are every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m. through Nov. 10.
