Bucks County Audubon Society to host 20th annual ‘Art of the Barn Tour’

Watercolor by Jane Ramsey

The annual Bucks County Audubon Society (BCAS) “Art of the Barn Tour and Art Show” returns Oct. 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m each day.

It’s an opportunity to spend some time in the country with amazing historic barns and talented local artists, and also support the education programs of BCAS at Honey Hollow.

During the two-day event, private barns will be open to the public for tours, and each barn will feature local artists who have been inspired by the nature, history and landscapes of Bucks County.

The event kicks off with a special pre-tour lecture and reception on Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the BCAS Visitor Center at 2877 Creamery Road in Solebury. April Frantz of the Pennsylvania State Historic Preservation Office will speak about the beauty and history of barns.

Tickets to this special two-day event are $25 for Bucks Audubon Members, $30 for non-members, and will increase to $35 on the Monday before the tour (Sept. 30).

Visit Bucks County Audubon Society online for more information about this year’s featured artists and tickets.

Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow’s mission is to educate the people of the Greater Bucks County region about the natural world with an emphasis on energy and resource conservation, including protection of birds, other wildlife and their habitats.
