A free diabetes self-management workshop will be offered at the Lambertville Public Library to help folks living with diabetes take control of their health.
Quality Insights is partnering with Rutgers Cooperative Extension to provide the interactive six-week workshop series as part of the national Everyone with Diabetes Counts (EDC) program.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet others going through similar experiences, and learn about diabetes and its risks, preventing complications, healthy eating, exercise, medication management, dealing with stress and depression and much more. Graduates from this program have lost weight, improved eating habits, started walking, and reduced blood sugar levels.
The free series will be offered at Lambertville Free Public Library at 6 Lilly St. Workshops will be held on Tuesdays, May 7 to June 11, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Complimentary resources and literature will be provided. All attendees must register by the second
session.
