Santa, that legendary, gleeful bearer of Christmas gifts, will be taking a tour of New Hope and Solebury on Sunday, Dec. 23, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
“Santa will be coming through our community escorted by fire apparatus to share joy, peace and goodwill to all,” said New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company in a statement. “Santa encourages well-wishers of any age to get into the holiday spirit and say hello to him along his route.”
Kris Kringle’s route is expected to include downtown New Hope, along with Fieldstone, Wilshire, Breckinridge, North Pointe, Kingswoods, and Riverwoods.
The temperature is forecast to be 45°F and mostly sunny for his journey.
Santa is alleged to be a portly, ebullient, bespectacled white male, with white facial hair, and wearing a red coat trimmed in white fur. Those with knowledge of his whereabouts say he is expected in the near future to deliver, via an airborne sleigh powered by a flying species of caribou, gifts for children he has discerned to be well-behaved, and combustible lumps of carbonized plant matter for those minors deemed to have conducted themselves in a manner unacceptable to others throughout the previous 12-month period.
