New Hope Arts on Saturday kicks off its 19th annual juried exhibition celebrating the woodworking tradition of Buck County.

The show runs through Jan. 6.

“Works in Wood” features fine furniture, sculptural forms and vessels by 33 contemporary artists.

Jurors Adam Capone and Sarah Cutter selected the exhibition from over 280 individual entries by wood craftsmen around the country. The curated exhibit features 67 unique works representing artists from coast to coast, as well as several first-time exhibitors.

Recognition of the jurors’ top entries will take place on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 6:45 p.m. Prizes to artist are awarded in memory of William A. Brewer thanks to donations by his family and friends. The First National Bank and Trust of Newtown generously sponsored this year’s event.

Gallery hours are free and open to the public beginning Sunday, Nov. 18.

The exhibition continues through the holiday season Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m. and by appointment at New Hope Arts’ second floor gallery, 2 Stockton Ave, in New Hope.
