Peddler’s Village lights up the sky on Friday, Nov. 16, at 6:15 p.m. with its annual Grand Illumination Celebration featuring a million colorful lights, the arrival of Santa, performances from local dance and choral groups, and complimentary hot apple cider.
Nov. 16 also marks the opening of the Gingerbread House Competion and Display, which will be on view through Jan. 5. Also coming up at the Village is a Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec. 1, and Sunday, Dec. 2, which features a Santa Parade at 1:30 p.m. each day.
For more holiday festivities, including special Santa events at Giggleberry Fair, a holiday brunch and breakfast with Santa at the Cock ‘n Bull restaurant, and “Homicide and Holly” murder mystery dinners, check out the Peddler’s Village holiday website.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 23 and continuing until Dec. 30, shopping hours for Peddler’s Village will be extended to 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Word to the wise: This Friday at Peddler’s Village will be packed, possibly muddy, and have limited parking. The lights are on through Jan. 5 — it probably pays to pick a quieter night, especially with kids in tow.
Peddler’s Village is located on Route 202 in Lahaska, about five minutes west of New Hope.
