Stoney Hill and Sugan roads will be closed between Aquetong Road and Route 179 (West Bridge Street) in Solebury Township and New Hope from Monday, Sept. 7 to Friday, Sept. 21, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., for base repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Wednesday.
Work on the project originally began Aug. 27 and was scheduled to end on Sept. 7, but the job is taking longer than planned, PennDOT said.
During the weekday closure, Stoney Hill Road/Sugan Road motorists will be detoured over U.S. 202 (Lower York Road), Route 179 (Bridge Street) and Aquetong Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone, and the schedule is weather dependent, according to PennDOT, who advises drivers to allow extra time when traveling near the work area.
