Maximino Sanchez, 37, of Trenton, N.J., was sentenced on June 8 by Honorable Angela F. Borkowski, JSC, to five years in prison for the second degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 years old.
The incidents occurred in 2013 in the City of Lambertville.
Sanchez pleaded guilty to the charge on February 20.
“Mr. Sanchez was arrested on December 22, 2017, after an investigation by detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Lambertville City Police Department,” according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.
In addition to the five year prison term, Sanchez was given parole supervision for life, and will be required to register as a sex offender pursuant to Megan’s Law. Judge Borkowski entered a sexual offense restraining order against him, which will prevent him from having any contact with the victim or family.
Sanchez has been held in the Somerset County Jail since his arrest in 2017, according to the prosecutor’s office. U.S. Customs and Immigration has placed an ICE detainer on Sanchez, and it is anticipated he will be deported after serving his prison sentence.
“I would like to commend the law enforcement officers and detectives from the Lambertville Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office for their dedication and hard work in this case,” said Kearns. “I would also like to thank Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Daniels for her outstanding efforts.”
We will feed, clothe & house him for five years (doubt he’ll serve that much time) and then he will be deported for being an illegal immigrant. Of course, like a boomerang, he’ll be back. When his arrest was first reported here, I commented that ICE would be involved and I was criticized for my words. These men are exactly what the President means when he refers to our Southern neighbors sending us their rapists, murderers & thugs.
