McIlhinney Announces Retirement From State Senate

Pa. State Sen. Chuck Mcilhinney.

State Senator Chuck McIlhinney today announced that he will not seek re-election at the end of his term in 2018.

McIlhinney is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, and has represented the 10th District, which includes New Hope and Solebury Township, since 2007.

Previously, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1998 through 2006 after winning a seat in the house in a special election.

McIlhinney began his career in public service as a Doylestown Borough Council member.

“I entered public service to make a difference for my community and the people who live here,”
McIlhinney said in a press release. “I can look back proudly at my time in office and my accomplishments, but now it is time to move on and allow a new leader to take over.”

  • Good riddance. This scumbag was one of 6 state senators that swung the vote to restore a $20,510 monthly pension of disgraced state Senator Robert Mellow who was convicted of federal corruption. It was retroactive too so that meant millions of dollars went to this convicted felon…..Another corrupt Republican…Imagine that.
