Investigators spent Sunday trying to determine if the disappearance of several young men, including a Newtown teenager, were linked.
Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police and officers from local townships, Philadelphia and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office spent Sunday searching a large section of land off Aquetong Road in Solebury Township, multiple officials told NewtownPANow.com. They added the search went on into the evening.
A state police helicopter was called in to assist investigators on the ground.
It was not immediately clear why police focused their attention on the Solebury property or if there is concrete evidence the four missing young men are connected.
One of the missing men that is part of the investigation – Dean Finocchiaro, 18 – was last seen Friday evening around 6:30 p.m. as he got into a vehicle on Hampton Drive in the Langhorne section of Middletown. Since he was last seen, Finocchiaro has not been heard from or spotted, police said.
Missing Newtown Township resident Jimi Tar Patrick, who is in his late teens, was also connected to Sunday’s search. Township police said he was last seen last Wednesday at 6 p.m. and has had no contact with family or friends. He also did not show up for work.
The other missing young men are in their early 20s – Mark Sturgis, Pennsburg, Montgomery County, and Tom Meo, of Plumstead Township, according to a law enforcement source and friends of the missing men.
