Solebury police reported that a residential forced-entry burglary occurred at around 11 a.m. Monday on the 200 block of Covered Bridge Road. A property owner arrived home and observed an occupied silver sedan occupied by two people exiting the driveway, they said.
Police describe the vehicle as a four-door, silver, early-2000s car of unknown make/model, with a noticeable dent in the rear trunk. The operator was described as a black male, about 20-30 years of age, with a muscular build and mustache. The passenger was described as a black female of about 20-30 years of age.
Solebury Police believe that the duo is responsible for two prior residential burglaries that occurred earlier this month — both on June 5 on the 5900 and 6000 blocks of Pidcock Creek Road between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Two single family dwellings were forcefully entered by unknown burglars (s). An audible alarm was activated at one residence, but the crooks were able to remove numerous items from the dwelling prior to police arrival. Neither of the homes were occupied at the time of the burglaries, say Solebury Police.
Law enforcement officials ask that citizens who may have observed any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles near the above areas contact Solebury Township Police at (215) 348-7400. Police are also seeking video footage from residents in the two immediate areas who may have been operating home video surveillance cameras .
