If Memorial Day weekend wasn’t enough family fun, this first weekend in June presents a busy local schedule.
After the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce kick off their first Friday Night Fireworks show of 2017 on Friday, June 2, at 9:30 p.m., there are two family-themed events upcoming.
On Saturday, June 3, the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) is sponsoring the 4th Annual Hunterdon County Community Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the County Fairgrounds/South County Park in Ringoes.
Highlights include a petting zoo, a reptile show, pony and tethered-balloon rides. There will also be a “community paper shred” event until 3 p.m.
On Sunday, Fisherman’s Mark and the Lambertville Human Rights Council will be hosting “In Many We Are 1 – A Celebration of Community” at Cavallo Park from 2 to 5 p.m., with a rain date of June 11.
There will be food vendors, kids’ games, and live music.
Admission is free to both events; the fairgrounds are asking for a $5 voluntary donation for parking.
