Eugene P. Cifelli, 91, died Saturday at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, N.J.
A lifelong resident of Lambertville, Gene was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, and volunteered for many years in the parish office. He was a Life Member of the Lambertville Elks Lodge, and he retired after 30 years of employment with General Motors in West Trenton, N.J.
Gene served in the United States Navy during World War Two.
Son of the late Flavio and Marjorie Casey Cifelli, widower of Elizabeth Abrams Cifelli, and brother of the late Rose Culver, Marjorie Masterson and Joan Schmidt, he is survived by his stepdaughter Donna Gordon of Arizona, his stepson Robert Gordon of Lambertville, brother-in-law Warren Schmidt, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 44 Bridge St., in Lambertville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hour will be Wednesday 9-10 a.m. at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St., in Lambertville.
