The New Hope-Solebury girls basketball team, regular season champs with a record of 22-0, seems a juggernaut, and the excitement around the high school and two communities is building.
Coming off a record of 26-3 last year, the girls are on fire this year, and high-scoring team member Alana Davidson has certainly added to the momentum. Davidson scored her 1,000th point on Feb. 4.
What’s the key to the girls’ success?
“Great coaching and talent make for a dangerous combination,” observed New Hope-Solebury District Athletic Director Ernie Rehr.
“Every team sport has made it to the district playoffs and beyond,” he continued. “We’re proud of all of our teams, and this has been a historic season for the girls.”
Next up is most likely a BAL Playoff game at home on Feb. 14, followed by the Regional District 1 & 11 Championship on Feb. 18.
