The 2017 Dog Days of Lambertville calendar has hit local stores, eateries and other businesses, and it’s totally pawesome.
Nearly five dozen pups appear in the twelfth edition of the annual fund-raising publication. Many had pretty tough lives until they found loving homes in our area.
Take Tink, a 10-year-old Bulldog mix. She was nursed back to health by dog rescuers after being found injured and malnourished in a locked closet during a criminal investigation. Nowadays, Tink loves eating cheese and chicken, and meeting children on her walks through Lambertville.
Another calendar star is Sebastian, a 3-year-old Puli who lives in New Hope, loves his morning and evening walks to Stockton, and “visiting his lady friends at Ryan’s Shell station and Nola restaurant,” according to calendar promoters. “He also enjoys patrolling Dilly’s parking lot across the bridge, and relishes the attention he gets from diners. He believes Dilly’s belongs to him!”
The calendars make an great inexpensive holiday gift, and are available for $10 at Rojo’s, Sojourner, Tirpok Cleaners, Blue Raccoon, Lambertville Animal Hospital, Homestead Farm Market, City Market, Tesoro, Thai Tida, Stoneking Health and Wellness Center and River Queen Artisans Gallery in Lambertville, or The New Hope Pet Center. They can also be ordered online for an additional shipping and handling charge.
Net proceeds raised by calendar sales will be donated to Spice’s Fund, Make Peace with Animals, Animal Alliance, and Lambertville Animal Welfare.
