Santa Delights the Young at Heart During New Hope Train Ride Friday

polar express | new hope free pressSeniors ranging in age from 92 to 97 from Brandywine Living in Princeton, N.J. , braved the frigid temperatures and took a trip Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Claus on New Hope & Ivyland Railroad’s Polar Express Train Ride.

Residents were treated to hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes, along with live entertainment and caroling. But for many, sharing the reactions of the local pre-schoolers also along for the ride was the greatest delight.

“I didn’t know what to expect — but I’m so happy that I’m here,” said one Brandywine resident.

“I’m always looking for a new experience and new memories for our seniors to treasure – and the holiday season makes it more memorable.”
