Minor Fire at Karla’s Restaurant in New Hope Quickly Brought Under Control Thursday

Firefighters from three municipalities responded to the report of a fire at Karla’s Restaurant at 5 W. Mechanic St. in New Hope at 3:05 p.m. Thursday. The small conflagration appeared under control by 3:23 p.m., although follow-up activity continued, and no injuries were reported.

A New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company spokesperson confirmed that the “minor” fire occurred the “in the wall and roof area,” leaving Karla’s restaurant undamaged and open for business Thursday evening.  

“Thanks to New Hope Eagle, Lambertville, and Midway Fire companies, as well as Central Bucks and Lambertville EMS,” said Kevin McMillen of the Eagle Fire Company.
